conducted the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for the Electronics
and Communication and Mechanical Engineering branches in the morning session.

GATE 2016 exam:
GATE exam is
conducted every year as a gateway to postgraduate courses at the Master’s and
Doctoral level across the country. The score is also used by some Public and
Private Sector Undertakings for employment processes. Direct recruitment to
Group A level posts i.e., Senior Field Office (SFO Tele), Senior Research
Officer (SRO) (Crypto) and SRO(S&T) in Cabinet Secretariat is now being
done on the basis of GATE scores. It primarily tests the comprehensive
understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in
Engineering/Technology/Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in
Science.
The GATE 2016 exam is conducted
on 30th January on session 1 and session 2 of 9.00 am to 12.00 pm and
2.00pm to 5.00pm. In session 1 examination occupied on mechanical and EC and in
afternoon session exam is on ME, BT, CH, GG, MN and PH.

GATE 2016 EC Paper Review & Analysis:
In GATE 2016 EC
Paper, 1 mark questions are easier than 2 marks as usual. Students who have
appeared for the GATE 2016 ECE paper have mentioned that the number of
numerical questions is increased and the time consumed for these questions is
higher compared to other.
GATE 2016 ME Review & Analysis:
The Mechanical exam
is conducted in the morning session. The paper covered most of the questions
from Engineering Mathematics, Strength of Materials, Thermal Science, and
Verbal Ability.
There was a mixture
of questions of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) & Numerical Question type.
The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. Again the focus of GATE
2016 Paper was to test you fundamental knowledge & Analytical Skill.- All India Round Up
